Tonight...we bowl. A few of the ladies from Michael's wanted to throw a little soiree together to say 'good-bye' to Valerie (The assistant manager who was leaving our Michael's to pursue a part-time position at the Michael's closer to her house.) and 'hello' to Baby Spyrou by means of a little baby shower.

Cousin Mark came into town from Colorado to celebrate his 40th birthday with his mom and family. We decided to meet out at the Greek Islands restaurant. After a delicious meal we celebrated with a homemade 'Nana' cake.
Happy Birthday, Mark! We're so glad we got to see you and celebrate this very special day with you and Auntie Cathy. May this be your best year yet!
Nana and Grandpa Bill started a tradition 3 years ago when they took Joshua to his first 'Day Out with Thomas' experience at the Illinois Railway Museum. This year marked Hayden's first, and he was SO very excited. He talked about it for 2 months before hand! Luckily, the timing couldn't have been better. It was the same weekend Gregory and I were away at the DU reunion.

Gregory and I got a chance to get away for the weekend....ALONE! We left the boys in the capable hands of Nana and Grandpa Bill. We had been invited to the Delta Upsilon reunion at Bowling Green, Ohio. Apparently, it was an excuse to get together, drink and catch up on each others lives. Most everyone had started a family and some of them even brought the little one's along. The planning for this event was done by the very awesome Billy and Amber Stark. It was held at the Portage Quarry Recreation Club. If you wanted to, you could go swimming in the lake, have a game of sand volleyball or go scuba diving!! We chose just to hang out....for obvious reasons. :)

And this little man is Billy Stark, son to Amber and Billy Start - our fabulous hosts for the day.
It was another scorching hot day in the Chicagoland area, (I say that like our entire summer has been unbearable.) and I had to work. So, the guys headed to the Arboretum to enjoy the beautiful warm afternoon.
Gregory and I have been together for 10 years. During those 10 years, we've seen Jimmy Buffett in concert 7 times. Making tonight our 7th. And prior to each of these concerts we've either hosted or have been a part of a pre-concert party. A party that has three ingredients; Jimmy Buffett music, margaritas and Gregory's famous tequila burgers. What's been fun and different for us these past two years has been sharing this party tradition with our kids and introducing my mom and Bill to the Buffett concert experience. So, with my mom and Bill at our side during the concert, we've enlisted the help of Yiayia and Papou from Ohio to watch the kids while we go to the concert. But this year, Thea Angel and Zoey came along for the ride to party and visit with the boys.
