The Children's Museum with Nouno

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yep...we've done a lot with Nouno since he moved in.  If we go somewhere, "Is Nouno coming too?", if we do an activity, like decorate Rice Krispy treats, "Nouno, can you help?"; these are the things we hear from the boys and the things they expect, for that matter.  So, it's no surprisewhen the idea came up to go to the DuPage Children's Museum the boys were thrilled to know that Nouno was going too.

Another plus...being able to celebrate Nouno's birthday, ON his birthday.  I know the boys enjoy ANY celebration, especially if it involves cake, candles and singing "Happy Birthday," but they love him and that makes it even more special.  Happy Birthday, Demetri - I hope this year will be your best year yet!

Nouno Moves In....

 

We couldn't have been more thrilled to have even more family so close to us.  It's important to help and provide for family members, if you can.  It's been good for all of us.  Joshua gets to know his godfather more, Gregory gets to have a little piece of his family near him and I have comfort in knowing that I have one more person around who is capable of watching the boys, if needed.  Demetri has provided us with so much help and relief;  babysitting when needed, landscaping and yard work and most importantly...friendship.  Thank you D, for moving in and being a part of our lives right now.

In the morning we went over to the Ross' house (a really good friend of Gregory's and his bestman at our wedding) to visit.  The boys hit it off, how could they not, Ben was a Thomas fan as well.

 

 

 

Then we got to see Stephen and Emily who got the boys the best gift in the whole wide world.

Hayden got a present from his Nouna and with a little help from his brother and Nouna he finally got it open.

 

This scrabble board picture was taken after I "killed" Yiayia in a little friendly game by using the word 'xiphias.'  Check it out, it's on the right-hand side of the board.  Ahhhh, it was a great day and I still smile big just thinking about my "kill."
