New Year's Eve in Ohio

 

For the second year in a row, we headed to Ohio for the New Year and to celebrate Christmas with Yiayia and Papou.

The boys opened presents...

 

 

 

 

played with all their new gifts with Papou, Yiayia and Thea Angel. 

 

Hayden loves being read to and he somehow found a moment in his schedule to have me read to him.

 

Joshua created....

 

and had me model his creation.

 

Then, took a break of his own to model someone else's creation. (The original Crabby Patty.)

 

 

 

 

Joshua was willing to pose with Yiayia Angella and Thea Anna to take some pictures and then took a few more with me.  

Christmas Day 2008

 

Woke up to see that "Santa" had come. 

 

Joshua looking a bit overwhelmed by the presents.

 

 

The best part about the morning was sitting down with Grandpa making trees, snowmen and snowflakes and then coloring them.

 

 

Nanny and Uncle Roy were there as well.

  

At Nana and Grandpa Bill's house we all opened tons of presents....

 

including Spike, the dinosaur you see in the front.

 

Even though it was Hayden's gift, he was a bit apprehensive with the dino and stayed on his daddy's lap the whole time.

 

Nana make a huge spread of desserts, which is always a hit,

 

her new tree looked lovely and....

 

we kept our tradition alive with a cake and song, wishing Jesus a Happy Birthday.

Christmas Eve 2008

Gregory and I decided to host Christmas Eve this year.  It wasn't anything too fancy.  Just good food, good company and lots of laughs. 

 

At some point we caught someone (other than Santa) sneaking up for cookies....

 

Again....

 

And again.

To our suprise, Hayden's interest in expanding his food options has increased.  And we love it!  Especially, since it includes eating peanut butter!

 

We got to take this years family portrait.

 

Nana and I trying to give it our best.

 

Then Joshua decided to draw a picture for Grandpa Bill and he wanted to have his picture taken with it and its recipient.

 

Dinner was delicious, including the much talked about and overly played with, crab legs!

 

 

 

Everyone enjoyed dessert,

 

in one way or another.

 

 

And at the end of the night, when everyone when home and the kids went to sleep; I caught a picture of Santa, who sneaked in to have his dessert.
